Thank you, Jack! I'd about decided I was losing my mind. I
was sure in that first post he said he'd replaced the HEADLIGHT
twice, and couldn't see how that could affect the switch unless
it was wired really stupidly.

He meant the HEADLIGHT SWITCH .

When I read the original post of the description of the problem , I think
he said headlight , and not headlight switch . It is the switch he is
talking about .
