In my experience, when the cruise control doesn't work, the problem has been
in the speed sensor, mounted on the side of thr transmission. My '92 Dak is
on it's 3rd speed sensor, and has 125K miles on it. Each time, the cruise
went out, the O/D stopped working. Replacing the speed controller fixed the
problem each time.
