Bill,

That is the proper spring for cams with lifts greater than .500. The engine
we are building up, we are using a Crane special grind (P/N 70HR00003).
Lift, intake - .467, exhaust - .520 with 1.6 rockers. The other valve
components are by Crower. I wanted the higher installed height that the
Crower springs and retainers provide. The heads are almost done (all that is
left is the final touch-up and flow verification). We may run the 1.7
rockers but it depends on the final flow numbers that we see. This is the
first set of heads out of the Landy's with 1.970 intake valves. I decided to
run these instead of the 2.02 valves primarily because of the fact that the
engine will be a daily driver. I haven't checked out the Crane spring, but
they were very adamant about running it. I really don't know if the spring
seats need to be cut for the spring. Given the fact that it is a dual
spring, I would suspect that the seats do need to be cut. Robert Landy
broken quite a number of the RT springs, that right there is good enough for
me to stay away from them. As far as injectors, we will be running the 30
lb. injectors. The factory fuel pump is large enough to support them and
according to our calculations, we need the larger injectors to develop the
power we want. The injectors are Lucas and I get them from RC Engineering
out here in Calif. The engine controller will need to be touched up but this
is no big deal.

        TTYL - Frank
