Welcome to the DML. (I apologize if the ratio thread got out of hand for
ya.)

I can't answer all of your questions...but i'll help you with the ones that
I can.

1) What are the largest tires that the Dak can handle, I am looking to but
street tires onto it and wondering just how big of rims, etc. I am able to
get for it fit snugly and ride well?

Depending on the Rim size (15x7 or 15x8) the 15x7's will handle up to a 245
(someone correct me if i'm wrong) and the 15x8's will handle up to a 275
(bulging...so stick with 255-265). You didn't really state what type of a
profile but the 50 series should do the trick for you. (My personal
preference is BFG Comp T/A's for street but everyone has their own opinion.)

2) Can the Dak support a true dual exhaust or only a single exhaust going to
dual's?

No. All of the cat-back systems use either a single-to-single or a
single-to-dual. (Flowmaster, Gibson, Borla, etc.) all make a good cat-back
system. (Personal preference on tail pipe configuration.)

3) On the SLT Package the doors have emblem "Dakota" on it, well after an
incident with moron drivers and an even less prepared body shop, I only have
one side with the Dakota which makes it an aggravation. How difficult is it
to remove the emblems from the door? And what is the best way to do it
without ruining the pain?

Are yours the embossed emblems or the stickers? (The embossed ones are
pretty much stuck there.) The stickers can be removed with a hair dryer and
some Goo-Gone.

4) After washing my truck I have noticed what look to be waterspots forming
on the hood, any suggestions on the best way to remove them? Also any
suggestions on good budget minded cleaners to keep that Dak lookin like new?

I had this problem with my '97 Dak when I first purchased it. Take it
either to the dealer or, what I did, took it to Classic Car Wash and had
them Buff and Wax the body. (Haven't had a single water spot since.)

5) And finally for the end of my first wave of questions, How difficult are
soft tonneau covers to install? What company(s) should I look to? About how
much will it run me?

(Can't help you there.) Anyone else?
