I have suggestions for two of your questions.

For a soft tonneau cover, check out this web site. http://www.checkerpro.com/welcome.html . I bought a between the rail cover from them. Although I haven't found the time to install it yet, it does look like a decent cover. It wasn't that expensive either.

For the cleaning the DAK question. Check out this web site for Zaino Bro's Show car Polish... http://www.zainobros.com/ If you like what you see here, let me know. I am a Zaino Bro Distributor and I have great prices for my fellow DML'ers. The super low prices of the "group buy" have ended, but my regular prices are much better than the web site.

As the subject states I am new to the list, but I think its great so far.
Although the ratio argument is getting a little "Whose is bigger"? I think
if you found something that works for your particular Dak, run with it and
leave it as that when you give the suggestion. I.E. I have found such and
such ratio works on mine, should hold well with yours. Especially if you
have similiar Daks.

Just for a quick rundown on my Dak, which will probably help answer the
questions I have coming up later in this message.

'98 Hunter Green Ext. Cab
SLT Package
V6 Engine
Bridgestone Duelers (225 75/R15) All Terrain's
Tint to match extended cab window tint (5-10% I believe) on both rollups.

Now onto my questions:

1) What are the largest tires that the Dak can handle, I am looking to but
street tires onto it and wondering just how big of rims, etc. I am able to
get for it fit snugly and ride well?

2) Can the Dak support a true dual exhaust or only a single exhaust going to
dual's?

3) On the SLT Package the doors have emblem "Dakota" on it, well after an
incident with moron drivers and an even less prepared body shop, I only have
one side with the Dakota which makes it an aggravation. How difficult is it
to remove the emblems from the door? And what is the best way to do it
without ruining the pain?

4) After washing my truck I have noticed what look to be waterspots forming
on the hood, any suggestions on the best way to remove them? Also any
suggestions on good budget minded cleaners to keep that Dak lookin like new?

5) And finally for the end of my first wave of questions, How difficult are
soft tonneau covers to install? What company(s) should I look to? About how
much will it run me?

Thanks alot for the help!

it does, let me know and my apologies.
