I got my lift kit on and got it back from the alignment shop yesterday. It looks
great and really turns some heads while driving it. Everywhere I have stopped
at so far, I have gotten compliments on it. One guy pulled up to me last night
in a 4x4 97+ Dak and asked what shocks I added to get the lift, I smiled and
told him the whole story about the kit......but if it would of been a chebby or
ferd owner, I would just of told them they were factory shocks....lol.
It handles great, and I don't think I lost any cornering ability. I really can't
tell a difference from stock. For you guys thinking about putting one on your
self....if I can do it...you can also. The only specialty tool I needed was a
grinder to get rid of the factory bump stops.
I think the biggest problem was finding a shop to do the alignment. I had to
call 3 shops and take it to one to see if they could do it. Nobody wanted to
touch it. Poop Boys claimed there was no way they could because the new height
would not figure into the computer and would throw off all measurements. When I
did get it back, the guy who did the work on it said it wasn't that bad to do
and was able to get all the adjustments within factory specs.
P.S. The reason I checked with Poop Boys is because the nearest legit 4x4 shop
is over an hour away.
New pictures are up on my site.
