Thanks. I sure did encounter the surging idle. My deal told me that they see it, but they have no idea why it is doing it. The computer tells them all is ok. It sure makes driving a stick in traffic VERY difficult. I always seem to catch the idle on the down stroke and have to double clutch, as to not stall.

I got a 99 Dakota standard cab, 318, 5spd, 3.55 LSD that does the same
thing. Not as severe as yours, but still does it. I associate it with
being a posi, my 91 GMC Jimmy does it occasionally also.
You encountered the surging idle problem that Dodge can't fix yet?
