class. There were two Chrysler turbo front drivers there, but they are
factory turbo cars.

No, I didn't run. This is a National NHRA Winston Drag Racing event. You
qualify based on a set NHRA index for each particular class. The entries who
run the most under the index get the higher qualifying spots. Eliminations
are bracket style (full tree, pick your dial-in and no running under the
dial).

I'm sure using weight ballast, optimal gearing, total traction and special
tuning tricks make these Daks run as good as they do. The low 12 second V-8
Daks were lifting the left front almost a foot on the launch.
