For those of you who got scamed by Chryco and their R/T towing
allowance of only 2000lbs MAX, check out the 2000 Dodge Dakota
sales brochure/catalog for the towing capabilities.
For 2000 you can now order a 5.9L for the 4x2 Reg./ CC
or Quad 4x2 & 4x4 Dakota according to the catalog.
You can also order Sport Plus Group and getthe the tire and handling
option get the 255/65/15 tires
on 15" rims, bigger rear stabilizer bar, foglights, light group,
AC and leather steering wheel.
So why not pass on an R/T and order a Sport with all these
goodies and have something almost like the R/T except for
the tuned exhaust, 17" rims and 1" lowered suspension
which eliminates towing up to 2000lbs.
Get a Sport and tow up to 6500lbs!
