Re: Fault Codes '95 5.2L, diagnostics

Wow! Yeah, Paul. My head's spinning, too. BUT, at least now I know what
needs to be done. I've got to go find, as you say, an *honest mechanic.*
Thanks for the great info! It really helps to know what you need before
you go looking for it. I can print your letter and have it in hand when I
go get this done. I prefer knowing what should be done as opposed to
having someone just *poking around* and changing things that may or may
not need replacing.

It's really wierd about this thing because except for the occassional
stumble from first to second when I first start the truck, it's really
fine. For instance, coming home from work Friday, I passed a chabby pu
with a 350, dual exhaust, fat tahrs, etc just going thru traffic after a
light turned green (Wurzbach just east of Fredericksburg). I knew he
would have jumped in front of me (he was in the right lane, I was in the
left) if he got the chance. No way. He finally did get through traffic
after the HEB and he yelled over at that light that I had a "cute little
truck, but could it run?" I promptly blew him away when the light changed
and though he tried to catch up, he was several truck lengths back and
fading all the way to Vance Jackson, where he snuck off.

The point is, though, the truck runs great other than the stumble.
Naturally, I do want to get this checked out.

Thanks agin for the info. When I find that mechanic you mentioned and get
the work done, I'll let the list know what it was.

Thanks, Boog!
