To Bill Maurits w/ manual tranny fluid question: I ran into the same problem
with my '94 Dak, (3.9 V6, 5-sp.). When I went to get the fluid changed at
Pep Boys, and they put in AUTOMATIC trans fluid; after driving it home, it
wouldn't shift right. So I took it to Dodge, and they had it for 2 days
because there were 3 different types of manual fluid that could be used!!
They had to special order it from the factory!
So, to Bill, and all others out there who prefer to "shift for themselves",
when you do get the fluid changed, TAKE IT TO THE DEALER!!! Needless to say,
Pep Boys gave me the money back for their screw-up, plus they paid for the
second change at the dealer!!

I have a 98 5.2L w/ the NVG-3500. The truck has 34,000 miles on it and is
very quiet.
Sounds like the "5-Star" dealer is full of SHEET!

Does anyone know exactly what the" MOPAR Maunal Transmission Fluid" really
is??
I've heard motor oil and Iv'e heard gear oil!? No at Chrysler that I've
talked to
seems to be real sure.
