Yes. After this initial batch is done, I probably will have to
raise the price as a batch is a lot less expensive than doing
them piecemeal.

The initial batch (which is everyone who has ordered a decal plus some
extras for later orders) is "on order"... I'm just waiting for the shop
to cut them out. It took them a few months just to tweak the designs so
that they'll cut properly. They could have been faster about that,
but in their defense, it definitely is a lot of work. I ended up coming
in and working side by side with them to clean up the designs just to
get this thing rolling. (Its not as easy as printing them out; a
blade has to cut every single line, and we're talking about a physical
medium; there are certain limits to what you can do, and different colors
of vinyl have different properties. For example, white is pretty
easy to cut and weed, but silver is a little more "gummy", some colors
have metalics in them, etc.) A design that cuts fine on one color may
get ripped to shreds on another. Anyway, that was the major reason for
most of the delay, but from then on its been one huge comedy of errors
(but for some reason, I'm not laughing). Either they've run out of
vinyl or they needed to order new blades, or they've had other orders
to work on. I got us a very good deal, and I suspect maybe they aren't
making as much money as they'd like on these, so we get pre-empted for a
big profit job. Its an election year, so the politicians have got them
busy doing all sorts of stickers and signs.

I've been going into the shop every day when possible to harass
them about the decals; I'm not sure what else I can do. I do have
the artwork in vector format, so after this initial order is done
I think I'm going to look around and see who else might be able to
cut them for us. It might be a little more money, but that's better
than nothing at all I guess.

So anyway, have no fear; I'm not trying to rip anyone off; if you
sent me money, you'll get your sticker(s), one way or another. (Even
if I have to have them cut somewhere else and take a loss.) Believe
me, I want these stickers to get done as much as anyone else. As the
various Toronto DMLers and the DMLers that were at Carlisle can attest,
I don't have a sticker on my truck yet, and I don't intend to install
one until each and every sticker that has been ordered is out the door.
My truck will be the very last to get one.
