Dodge Dart update: It runs!

Had to move the Dakota's over a bit to get the Dart into the
driveway. Today I wanted to start the Dart, but it still ran
funny (that 7 cyl thing the guy told me about). I started it,
and watched the engine vibrate erractically (missing)... Then
decided to find out which cyl. wasn't firing. Pulled plugs,
and found that the 2 rear on the driver's side didn't seem to
make a difference whether they were on or not. (6 & 8, or 5 & 7).

I swapped wires... VOILA! Now the Dart has an idle!! It has
a serious exhaust leak, but I was able to drive it to the gas
station, and romp on it at the light and no misses, backfires, etc.
A little underpowered, but all seems okay.

Question: Is the 904 transmission in the early Dakota's the same
as the 904 in the dart? Then, if so, swapping in a A-518 & '96
magnum motor into the Dart should be a snap, right?? (I've found
a theft recovery '96 short bed Dakota, missing the front clip/
radiator-- engine/transmission/rearend complete).
