Well I finally had some "free" time, so I decided to install my Checkmate soft Tonneau cover. I read through the directions and followed them as I assembled the kit on my den floor. At one point it wants you to measure the width of the bed. I did this and this is where the problems started. At the smallest configuration, the cover frame is approximately 1/2'' too wide. This cover is supposed to be a "flush mount" and fit between the rails. I bought it because I would like to eventually get a mopar "Light Bar / Bed Rail combo", and a typical tonneau cover will get in the way. I called CheckMate and I didn't like what they had to say. Check this out, the gentleman on the phone said "The flush mount cover is not really a true "between the rail" flush cover. It just looks that way. For proper weather seal and durability it has to rest on the top. It only will take up about an inch on each side, but the bed rails still won't fit". Needless to say, this is not what I wa!
nted and I have made arrangements to return their cover. I do not like false advertisement and deception. I did find another cover on the web that is a true "between the rail" system, which also acts as a tie down system. If you haven't given up on this email already, please check it out and let me know what you think of it .... http://www.salesco.com/truck/tonneau_cover.htm .

Thanks,
Joe
