Ok...just for the record (and nothing personal against you Patrick, or any
of the other TB modifiers).
But...
The Magnum Performance TB's are probably some of the most powerful torque
upgrades in the aftermarket for the new Dodge trucks. Some of his can (and
do) add up to 60 ft lbs of torque to a 5.9 or 8.0 or better.
The special bores that MP sells have a 1/4" overbore (.250!!) as in their
SUPERBORE 250 and 260 - unheard of - and it has several special designs
that are "patent pending". His have no bottom end bog as some of the
others do because he uses a stock shaft, which is very strong, and which
also accurately preserves the OE TPI voltage ranges off the potentiometer,
according to Jules.
He has tested his latest on the Dodge DRB III and (at least one other tb)
and voltages with the modified ss shaft were not accurate. (Stock Shaft
works just fine.)
His custom shafts have no fasteners in the windstream, he does plenty of
extras for his customers, "on the house"... and, (IMO) until you can say
that your designs are patent pending (really special), as in more that just
copying the age old approach such as a bit bigger radius, ie bore...well,
maybe THEN you can say you are "one up" on him...this much is for sure.
One point, he is constantly "under seige" from customers wanting Jules'
trick work...so lets keep the cards face up on the table for those wanting
the full picture... your's maybe cheaper... but, well...I won't say anything
else.
