I just dropped my pan and changed the filter last Sunday after 90,000 miles
on the original filter and fluid. It was surprisingly clear and only the
normal fine aluminum shavings. The magnet did have quite a bit of sludge
stuck to it. I added five (5) quarts of AAMCO ATF+3 (not Dex 3) from Auto
Zone. It was right on the full line. Checked it the following Tuesday and
it was still there.
