Sorry to but in, but will the RolTop cover work for you? I'm not sure, but I
think they are truly between the rails, and lockable. I'd rather have one,
but I didn't realize what the advantages of that type of cover would be until
I had to remove my 'glass cover to haul a few tall items. I've been trying to
work out a bedrail/light bar/spare tire carrier system that would go over the
SnugTop for a while now. It would have to have a hinged light bar, and some
serious reinforcement, and stronger struts to carry the weight of a couple of
spares...but that would free up room under the truck for dual mufflers and
maybe even a spare fuel tank...
