Take a look at the fuses in the Power Distribution Center
under the hood. The fuse closest to the engine is a 140A
(reddish brown in colour). Check that the metal strip is aok.
I had it go on my '97 (not burnt but just fallen away as if
it was a bad soddering job). If it's not, the battery can
be not charged by the alternator and, overtime, the battery
will just die. I was on a highway when it died (went into
limp mode, finally sputtered and died). If the fuse is
the cause, it's a little expensive sucker.
