1 sick dak ( a lil longish)

Well, I went off to install my Powertrax tonight.. Only to find that the
spider gears had worn themselves a nice bed into the crosspin. 3lb sledge,
airhammer, few dozen adjectives, and 2 hours later the crosspin was still
right where she started. To add insult to injury, the broken teeth had
punched a small hole in the carrier, just above the crosspin retaining bolt.
Looks as though the Ford dealer who installed this set 5 months ago (yeah
yeah yeah, I know... Ford dealer.....) may have installed a spider gear that
was a tad to large for the crosspin.

She'll be trailered back to the dealer that put them in tommorrow, hopefully
to make them eat it and buy me a new carrier. My family knows the service
manager there pretty well, so hopefully that will help things along...

Question: *if* the carrier is removed, I'm considering returning the
Powertrax to Summit, and buying a Mopar SG unit. Whomever has/is running
both, what's your preference between the 2? The dak is unfortunately a
mostly pavement dwelling beast now, so I'm not really concerned w/ offroad
performance..
