New Exhaust Questions

Hey guys,

I've been doing some thinking (not good, right?) :-).... anyways, I'm
getting a set of Gibson headers in about a week or so. I'm also going to
have a custom exhaust system done with a single 3" muffler and 3" tailpipe
to replace my Gibson split-rear catback.
The part that I'm thinking is this.... would it be worth the money to
have a new headpipe made from the headers, running into a 3" cat, 3" pipe
out of the cat into the muffler, and a single 3" tailpipe.... all in the
factory location? Or should I just run 3" pipe from where I cut off the
stock exhaust into the muffler and out the back?
And finally, what muffler should I use for best power without killing
the bottom end? Flowmaster, another Gibson? I like the sound of the Gibson,
but I heard a Flowmaster on a Ramcharger with the same 3" setup I just
talked about and it sounded pretty nice, too. I guess I want to use
whichever one makes the most usable power. My current mods are listed below.

Thanks as always,

Doug Myers
