Pretty much.

Racing Slicks: VERY Soft/Sticky Tire (No Tread design)
Street Slicks: Very Soft/Sticky Tire (DOT Approved Tread design)
"Cheater Slicks": DOT Street Tire with almost no tread left (normally due to
excessive burnouts or from just having too much fun.)
