I got this off the Toyota list, thought you might be interested, or at

Subject: DDC V-6 Diesel
"I just got some information from one of my colleagues about an engine they
are trying to get for a project. Detroit Diesel Corp. is developing a new
V-6 diesel engine termed "DELTA Automotive Diesel Engine". Its a 4.0L
Turbo Direct Injection with a Bosch common rail fuel system. The data
sheet says the rating is 210 hp at 4000 rpm and 340 ft-lb at 2000 rpm. But
the guy i got the spec sheet from says that it could be rated as high as
250 hp and 380 ft-lbs.
60 degree V6
4028 cc disp.
bore 92 mm, stroke 101 mm
Compression Ratio 18.5:1
Specific power 39.9 kW/liter
Turbocharged and intercooled
Weight (dry) 638 lbs.
Cooled EGR
OHV 4-valves per cylinder
Availability: in year 2003
The preliminary performance curve indicates 200 ft-lbs of torque at 1000
rpm.
I've heard that it will be in the Dodge Dakota. Thats probably all i
should say.
