I don't believe the speakers that DC equips its vehicles with are actually
in the retail Infinity line, but you can be sure they're somewhere around
the quality/performance of their lowest line. I do know they're paper.
As for the head unit, DC claims a total of 66W, I think, but it's at 3%
THD, which is pathetic. I would guess at a more reasonable THD level (say
.1% at most), it's more like 12-16W (3-4W per channel). I personally feel
you'd be better served with aftermarket equipment. The upgrade to the
Infinity Tape/CD is 660. For about 1k installed, I got a Sony CD head
unit (CDX-680) and amp (50x4, don't remember the model), Phoenix Gold
components up front and 10" sealed box sub in the rear. The sound is
phenomenal, especially considering the price. If you knock off the sub
and correspindingly get a smaller amp, there's less than $100 diff between
my setup and the factory Infinity.
