I too had problems with my catalytic converter. I have a 96 V6, and at
13,000 miles it started making this horrible rattling sound at idle. Took
it in and got it replaced. Had to wait almost 2 weeks because it was on
backorder.

4 weeks later, that one went out as well. Got it replaced again, and
everything has been fine since.

Sounds like it's a common problem, though! :(
