Don't know if you will see this in time, but here goes. Over or under is
mostly a matter of personal preference. However, before committing to an
over the rail job, I would want to see examples of the installers work. An
over the rail job takes very exacting work to get right, and once it's on
it's on for good. An alternative to an over the rail job would be aluminum
rail covers. You can find these in either polished metal or powder coated.
Round or square/rectangular guards are also an option to be used with or
without the metal covers.
