I see the ** for testing purposes ** disclaimer, but let me state this
too:
Bernd & Jeremy performed this mod on Jeremys R/T in the "pits" of
Houston Raceway Park, some 245 miles from Jeremys home, Dallas.
Actually, they zip tied the IAT to a hose that positioned the sensor in
an air stream coming through the radiator apron.
On Jeremys way home, his auto tranny started acting strange and it
wouldn't shift into overdrive.
He stopped on the side of the hwy and undid the IAT from the hose it was
zip tied to, and reinstalled it in the manifold.
He hasn't had any trouble since then.
This mod may work fine for a 5 speed like Bernds, but Jeremy's computer
controlled 46re auto didn't like it one bit.
I don't know of anybody that had trouble with mounting the IAT in the
air intake tube, but this IS something to be considered.
No flames here, just a FYI.
