It's a bad idea with ANY engine regardless of its makeup. I had a friend
a few years ago that cracked the I6 block in his Jeep practically in half
trying to ford a street in the great Illinois flood of July 96. bottom
line: don't let your engine get hot then put it in water. just plain bad
idea. :-)
