5 star dealer changing their ways?

Hey everyone,

As you may know, I had lost all faith in my 5 star dealer, Crown Dodge in
Ventura. Well this week I have regained some faith. I received a couple
postcards in the mail saying "We've been trying to reach you". Then on the
back it said "In the event you have been less than satisfied call so and so.
. ." I called back in late Sept. and finally got a return call on Wed. Told
them about my popping noise coming from and incline, brake squeak, and leak
coming from the t-stat housing. I dropped her off today and took the service
manager for a ride to try and locate the popping noise. The previous 2 times
I brought it in, they blamed it on the lowering or claimed there was no
noise. Well we went into a couple parking lots, but no popping. . . Murphy's
law. So he goes on to say he'll check out the cab isolators just to make me
happy. Then as we turn back into the dealer, pop goes the bed. He determines
its the cab isolators and its a bulletin. Finally, after 4 months it is
finally going to get fixed. I told them to throw a 180 t-stat in there.
While the labor was free, the part was $11 for a t-stat. A little pricey,
but hey I do notice it runs a little better and cooler. I get a call, only 3
hours later, that my truck is ready. Turns out the cab isolators needed to
be ordered, t-stat went in nicely, and my brakes are 60% front and 75% rear,
not bad for 35,000 miles. My question is when should I replace the brake
pads? When they get down to 40%?
