I do clean it all the time. My problem is were the "leather" folds over to
finish the seam and cover the felt underlay. It seams to just dig into the
paint. Is DC responsible for this?

With any bra for any car or truck, you have to take it off every month to 2
months and clean underneath to get the sand, salt and stuff from the road
out. Otherwise it could be worse because the sand and stuff is stuck
underneath there and just makes it worse because it scratches it.
