If you don't like pop-ups and ads and animations, etc., there's a neat
program you can download for about $15 at Intermute.com. I've been using
it for about 6 months and it's great if you use the web a lot and hate
getting slowed down by all those sites that take forever to load because
all the ads, animations and pop-ups load first. Now I can get strictly
content, even on geocities pages. (Dak content: I never block Dak ads).
Another program that's good for blocking things is called "At Guard." It
also has firewall protection. I don't use it since I use Black Ice for
firewall protection. It's simply amazing the number of "Port probes" and
other attacks that come while on-line.
