Bernd,

We currently set the RPM limiter at 6,000, top speed at 999 mph. These can be set at anything we want. Ignition curve is modified and the fuel map is pretty much left alone. For engines with bolt on items (including mild cams) this is pretty much all that you need. Sensor recalibration needs to be done in conjunction with a good exhaust gas analyzer.......

I agree with you Frank...but the Mopar Computer doesn't remove the speed
limiter or the rev limiter. If they made one for my truck...i'd stick it on
in a heartbeat. But MaxRPM allows for custom programming including fuel
curves, timing, custom RPM limits (if needed), sensor recalibration, etc.
($600 for the V6 with custom curves.) All I need to do is figure out where
I want everything and send in the charts/curves to MaxRPM.

I probably won't have my computer reprogrammed before the end of the
year...but it will be done by MaxRPM in mid January. I'll let you know how
it turns out.

Custom tuning unique to a highly modded engine usually runs in the
nehghborhood of 500.00, but the standard equivalent to a MP computer for a
97 is in the neighborhood of $250 - $300......
