Rob,

Jon Smith is right. The number of splines on the axle shafts changed
after 1996. The SureGrip unit is purchased finished from Dana Corp.
The 1996 is a different part number than the '97 thru 2000.

I have the correct part number at home. I will e:mail it to you.
