Hopefully this will answer some questions.
When you leave the line and you spin, obviously you get more tire rotation,
which when you pass through the mph traps at the end of the track your mph
is gonna be higher. Now, when you hook up and you have your best 60' your
tire didn't go round as many times, that's why your mph varies a little bit.
next. Whith a set of slicks, you can count on a good launch. I'm not sure
what you stick guys can launch those things at, but I would assume, you
should be able to hook good at about 2500 with riding the clutch out.
last. Yes my truck did run 14.8's at only 89mph, and I do have 3.90's, but
I don't have one of those magnums. You guys with the magnums have much
better top end than my pre-mag. I can hang for about an 1/8mi., but after
that it just doesn't pull as hard. (I'll take care of that this winter with
the 360 :~)
