rotor runout

rotors are warped. Can the warpage be checked with a dial
indicator.....and if so
whats an acceptable runout.

Yes, you can check warpage with a dial indicator. Take off your wheel,
and if you have lug nuts that dont have chrome caps, flip 'em over and
tighten the evenly against the rotor. This is to more closely simulate
the wheel being on the rotor for a more true runout reading. Acceptable
runout would be anything less than maybe about 5/1000ths per side of the
rotor. A normal brake job machines off 15-20 thousands, and that
usually includes some warpage. If you have 10/1000ths between both
sides, I bet it's chattering your teeth out!
