Did you have any "lose connection messages"? I was plagued
with them. Finally narrowed to the OBD-II connection but
was unable to see if it was their cable connector or the
data link connector on the truck. Returned it after about
5 days...may buy it again at another store.

BTW, out of curosity, have you taken a look at the 'Emission'
readout in the View Data mode to see if your truck is set up
for CA or FED. The readout on my truck said 'CA'!
