I cleaned out the filler tube on mine a couple of nights ago and in the
process I bent a wire coat hanger such that I could run it up that tube
feeding off of it to the point where it elbows down the valve cover, I
didn't feel any real resistance when I did it but after I did it I started
the truck and placed my finger over the hole, there was a lot of vacuum
there. I wish I would have done that before I ran the hanger in it to see
if there was a change. With that amount of vacuum present at that hole I
can't see how anything acumulates in the filler unless some how that tube is
plugged from the factory. I have driven for two days now with no sign of
the slug, I'm keeping an eye on it and will ya folks know.
