I've got 6 1/2's in my doors. I cut out a little material to get them in,
then I cut and screwed in a wood panel made of 1/4" plywood into the location
to seal the speaker in. Caulk was used liberally to seal it completely.
There's many holes in the door panel that can easy be sealed and soundproofed
with dynomax. When completed the door is sealed fairly well and the transient
response and power handlding of your choice speaker will be greatly improved.
