It's called a manual transmission and a good driver. Congrats on your 1/4
time. You obviously hooked up good and raked through the gears efficiently.
The fact that the automatic 5.9 is as close as it is impresses me. The
heavy duty auto in the r/t was designed to be just that...rugged. Slap a
transgo kit and a 2500rpm stall converter into the r/t and it will make up
for the parasitic losses caused otherwise. I personally wouldn't want to
attempt to drag a 5sp against one.
Not ragging 5sp here, they are my personal favorite...
