:-) I'm hoping to build it as reliable as possible... It'll get
at least an 8.75" rear, probably a 9.75" along with custom axles and
maybe a stronger driveshaft too.

Yep, I hope so. I don't know a whole lot about transmissions, but
if there isn't any stress on the OD when it isn't used, that would
probably suit me fine, as it would only be used while cruising on
the highway.

8-10K rpm? Yikes! :-) I don't want to spend that much cash! ;-)
I'm basically planning to get maybe 500-600hp with an intercooled twin turbo
setup, and the rest will come from giggle gas. I plan to keep the RPMs
below 6K.

Well, my main concern is gas mileage. I do take some long trips in
it, and I'd really like to keep it relatively decent. (I'd be happy
with 15mpg, but I'll have to play with the EFI to see if I can get any
more; I think it'd be cool to push out that much HP and still get 20mpg)
Also, on a related note, at 4,000rpm, there's a fairly decent amount
of exhaust flow, which is going to spool the turbos and make the gas
mileage that much worse. If I can cruise at 2500-3000rpm, I think
that'd make the motor happier in the long run.
