DAMN! I would brought out my shotgun. I had the dealer installed the LoJack
($495.00), since we live so close to the border and trucks and SUV are
commonly stolen and taken across the border here where I live.

Subject: DML: Need a new alarm after last night

I woke up last night to hear somone pushing thier horn in a endless pattern
of perfect honks. It took my awhile to wake up and realize it was my alarm!
The one good thing about this Dakota factory alarms is that they only go off
if the door is opened, so I knew it was not a false alarm. So out side I
ran, barefoot, raining, 30 degress. It looks like someone opened up the
canopy and tailgate, crawled in, and opened up the rear sliding window,
don't know how yet. Then proceded to unlock or open one of the doors. Then
got out, closed the tailgate and canopy and then opened the unlocked door.
The alarm went off and they ran away, nothing stolen. But now it's got me
thinking it's time to get a new alarm. I had been meaning to anyway, but I
suppose I'll just do it alittle sooner. So I would like to know what you
folks think about various brands of alarms, features, and what your personal
experiances/preferences are. I'm also looking at purchasing a pop n lock
for the tailgate, nothing fancy, don't need a power one.

Thanks!
