The 1.7/1 rockers do develop more lift but more important, they give you faster lift rates. If you have a cam with a lift figure at the cam of say .325, with 1.6 rockers, your valve lift is .520, with 1.7's, the valve lift will be .552. If you measure the duration at .250 valve lift, the increase in duration is about 3 degrees. With a change from 1.6 to 1.7's, you can expect to see an additional 10-20 HP. There doesn't appear to be any alignment problems caused by the 1.7's, but there is a variance in stud location from Dodge. I went through 5 bare heads just to get a pair that I was happy with. Bottom line on any rocker install, make sure the rocker centers on top of the valve......

 Hope this helps.
