The Gibson and JBA Headers were both made by JBA when the
gen III Dak came out. They fit on the Rams ok, but did hit
the brake booster on most Daks (apparently the brake booster
was changed for some and not others?) I know because I
had this problem on a set from JBA for my '99. I then
sold them to Kurt becuase both JBA and Gibson swore they
would fit a 97-98 Dak....guess again they didn't.

In 1999 JBA and Gibson both changed their designs to compensate
for this problem and they work fine now. I have a set
of JBA Stainless headers on my '99 318. They fit great
and were easy to install for about $299.

Just be very wary of buying any used or older style headers
from anyone, they may not fit. Make sure the header is the
new design.

You said you have Gibson headers on a '99. I thought somebody said that
they wouldn't fit a '99 because the brake booster was different from the
97-98's. Anyway, how much are they and from where?
