Yeah, mine aren't looking too happy at 11K. I ordered up a pair of
SilBlade wipers from http://www.sspinc.com/sil_wind.html . My father
works for GE and the silicone in these wipers is one of the products he
makes (along with most of the caulk in your house, most likely; there's
CASES of the goop in his basement). It's a very nice material for this
kind of application - water doesn't stick to it, so ice buildup is
almost nonexistent. And it doesn't have all the other problems (heat,
cold, UV, etc.) that go along with natural rubber.
$10 per wiper, but there's a 5-year warranty on them and if they work as
well as my father says they should, it's more than worth it.
