I give the Dakota another (99-2003) three years and depending on the supply
and demand, the current design will stay if there is enough buyers. But
again, I see that Ford and Chevy is already pushing the next wave of design
change to this retro design (wedge and boxing appeal).

Don't tell me Dodge is going to build this. I saw the side view of it,
and it looks horrible. The bed is super small and the cab is extra
large. The front end doesn't look to good either. Is the current style
of the Dakota going to be around for awhile?
