I'm gonna say it's a load of crap. I'd be very suprised if there's any kind
of a "chip" in my keys. I have recently had a new alarm installed on my 98
with remote start. They said absolutly nothing about this and there were no
charges for any kind of a bogus "bypass". The remote start works great!
