I got about 1.5 years (18000+ miles). I replaced it with an Optima Red Top
*before* it died.

Subject: DML: Dying batteries

A while back I seem to recall a number of people having their factory
batteries dying. Was there any pattern to it? Was there a bad batch of
batteries at the factory maybe? My truck seems to be taking a MUCH
longer time to turn over when I start it than before we had that real
cold snap back in December/January. The engine used to turn over almost
instantly, now it takes longer (no, I haven't timed it; it's not a LONG
period of cranking but still too long I think). I've got the heavy-duty
service group, so I was HOPING that I'd get more than a year out of a
battery.
