When I lived in Florida, I got sick of the constant power outages knocking
out my VCR's clock from all the lightning storms. (It didn't have a battery
back up...) I solved the problem with a careful application of black
electrical tape. Worked perfectly, and from two or more feet away, you
couldn't even tell. Maybe it would work as well on your Dakota. :)
