Ford owns a large chunk of that too just like cummins. I mentioned this a while
back but the powerstroke is supposed to be replaced in a year or two. It seems
they have alot of problems with it so they are going to have volvo (whom they
also own a lrage chunk of) design & build them a new diesel. Don't give up on
dodge though. Since they must now buy the diesel for thier trucks from ford (ie
owners of cummins) mercedes is doing some design studies of a mercedes truck
diesel for the american market. Just have to wait and see. BTW, I thought the
larger diesel engine they use in thier medium duty trucks was manufactored by
white which was owned by GM but was sold a couple of years ago to volvo. Boy,
and we thought the diamler-chrysler merger was a handful!!!
