Dakota oil pressure gauge

On my '00 4.7L auto Dakota (and on 2 other V-6 Dakotas I've looked at), the
oil pressure gauge bothers me. After starting the engine, it sits at 0 for a
couple of seconds, then goes to just below 40 for a couple of seconds, then
starts reading the oil pressure. At first, I thought there was something
wrong with the oil filter I installed. Then I realized that it was the gauge
cluster going through it's self-test routine. The voltage gauge (directly
below the oil gauge), however, does not delay - it reads alternator voltage
instantly.

Now, I realize I'm being kinda picky, but I like to know as soon as possible
that there is oil in my engine, and it is being distributed properly. I
haven't seen any other messages on this subject. Doesn't this bother anyone
else?
