Ive had both BFG AT's and MT's on my toyota and large MT's on my '72 Blazer.
In snow, the mudders will dig down (not good if your in deep snow...it will
hi center you) where the AT's will spread out and tread over the surface.
The MT's will not stay in tracks by other vehicles (snow)...they like to dig
their own. The more you hit the pedal, the deeper they'll dig. The AT's will
stay within the tracks by other vehicles.
When I replace the tires on my '97, I'll go with the AT's for overall
performance. I run the MT's on my '83 toyota for 'wheelin, stormchasing
(lots of dirt roads that turn to mud here in eastern colorado/western
kansas).
